In 1992, Leo's brother, Adrio and his father Adalberto came to Bulgaria for the first time - in Burgas. They were invited by a Bulgarian family and then decided to open an Italian restaurant in Burgas. The reason for this decision is that the beautiful seaside town lacks only one Italian restaurant. They have opened a large pizzeria on two floors - on the first floor is a pizzeria, and on the second floor a disco. They also open a real gelateria with 20 types of ice cream. The pizzeria called "Grand Italy" and gelatin are the first of their kind in Burgas. There is a huge flow of people who visit the restaurants every day until the closing in 2004. Leo and his family managed to present real Italian cuisine to thousands of Bulgarians. The pizzeria is one of the few, even in the world, which has reached the preparation of over 700 pizzas a day. The team of people behind these achievements is also not small - 6 pizzerias and 8 waitresses per shift.
In 2005 Leo came to Bulgaria and reopened the same restaurant, but this time in Sozopol. After one season in Sozopol they return to Burgas again for another 2 years. That same year Leo joined Big Brother, giving him the opportunity to move to Sofia, 2 years later his whole family moved from Bourgas to the capital. He decided to continue the family business, but with a different, modernized brand. A new logo and company identity is being built, and participation in Big Brother gives him the opportunity to be easily recognizable, to establish himself faster on the market, Leo himself to be the face of the company, which is advertised quite successfully. In 2007, they opened the first pizzeria with a new identity on Iskar Street in downtown Sofia, called Leo’s Pizza, and Leo himself is the chef in it.
Four years later, they opened the second pizzeria Leo’s Pizza Trattoria, located in Tennis Club Maleevi, and the concept of this restaurant is to put more emphasis on homemade food and cooked dishes. The pizzas in this restaurant are left slightly in the background at the expense of the pasta. The location of the restaurant, located at the foot of Vitosha Mountain, the view of the mountains and the wide open space around it allow visitors to relax and enjoy the wonderful food.
